Fancy a hot dog? Try these Korean corn dogs in London

Stop what you’re doing. Put down your pret sandwich. Because now you can get Korean corn dogs in London!

Yas, the Korean food craze has made it the UK, so now you can eat the cheesiest Korean corn dogs right in London.

What are Korean corn dogs?

First things first – Korean corn dogs are similar to their American cousins – so they feature hotdogs on a stick, coated in batter and fried. In that sense they’re as street foodie as you’re going to get.

But Korean corn dogs also have a couple of differences. Instead of using corn flour batter, they use sweet flour batter and crushed panko breadcrumbs. And there are also lots of different fillings, not just sausages.

And you can go crazy with the sauces. Unlike traditional hot dogs, where it’s ketchup, mayo and mustard. So you can get cheese sauces, cheeto sauce and the traditional sugar too. I want to try them all, ngl.

Now we know what a K-dog is, let’s dive into where you can get them in London.

1. Bunsik, Chinatown

If you’re near Chinatown then head to Bunsik for your Korean corn dogs. It’s a cute shop that has a fantastic selection of Korean street food, including the beloved corn dogs.

Bunsik’s Korean corn dogs are also hella popular on tiktok, where the cheese pull is the star of the show. I mean, who doesn’t love a cheese pull?

Address: Bunsik, 62 Charing Cross Rd, London WC2H 0BU

2. Uh K-Dogs n Juicy, Camden

If you’re after halal K-dogs in London, then this is where you want to be. Uh K-Dogs n Juicy have some very delicious corn dogs, and they’re inclusive so that’s pretty much a double win in my book.

Uh K-Dogs n Juicy also have a cool menu, and you can pick a bunch of different ‘batters’. These included diced french fries and hot Cheetos. I know, brilliant.

Address: Uh K-Dogs n Juicy, Camden Stables Market, Italian Alley 3 NW1 8AH

3. Horang-i, Kingston

If you’re in South London, specifically in Kingston, then head to Horang-i for a taste of their Korean corn dogs.

I really like their original K-hotdog, but next time I really want to try the potato K-hotdogs. What can I say, I like potato.

Address: HORANG-I, 4 Castle St, Kingston upon Thames KT1 1QY

So which Korean corn dogs are the best in London?

That is a super tough question. When it comes to taste and presentation, the Korean corn dogs at all three restaurants are good – if you’re into K-dog.

I think what it’ll come down to is location. Because I’m always around Chinatown I think I’d just naturally gravitate to the hot dogs at Bunsik. But the K-dogs at Horang-i are delicious too!

Bottom line, you can now eat as much Korean street food as you like in the form of deliciously fried K-dogs, all in London. Can’t say fairer than that.
