I went to Canteen Notting Hill for lunch to try the viral chocolate mousse and found rich risotto, brilliant lamb chops, and a walk-in spot worth knowing about.
The Alley use only natural ingredients in their bubble teas, and they even make their own boba balls (tapioca pearls).
Fillet steak is medium rare on the nose, as is the larger sirloin steak we also order. Both graduate in colou from a blackened exterior through to a plumby red.
