A Cult Beauty Haul

A Cult Beauty Haul

cult beauty haul skincare makeup

My massive, Christmassy cult beauty haul!

It’s Boxing Day and I’ve officially shopped my socks off. All of December has been a bit of a melee of shopping; I’ve been off work all month you see, which means my eyes have been free to wander. And wander they have. Therefore, to show you all the lovely things I’ve snagging this December, here is my cult beauty haul!

Huda Beauty ‘Icon’ Liquid Matte Lipstick

My cult beauty haul starts with Huda’s deep berry Liquid Matte lipstick in ‘Icon’, a great lippy for a more grown up look. As well as the rosy colour I also love the non-drying texture. In fact, it feels like I’m not wearing anything on my lips, and it lasts forever too.

Pixi ‘Really Rose’ MatteLast Liquid Lipstick

An old favourite – the texture of this matte lipstick is just so wearable – and the dusky rose colour is actually a really great nude on my tan skin. This is my no-brainer lippy that goes with everything, and so it had to be on my cult beauty haul :)

Fenty Beauty ‘Spanked’ Mattemoiselle

Yup, I have a thing for wearing dusty rose colours on my lips. What’s special about Fenty’s Mattemoiselle in ‘Spanked’ is it’s creamy formula, which applies much more like a lipstick, and is therefore naturally more moisturising. Great for those days that my skin *needs* hydration.

Pixi Flawless Beauty Primer

A cult beauty haul wouldn’t be complete without Pixi’s Flawless Beauty Primer, which is perfect for when I want to give my makeup a subtle glow. Just dab some on underneath your foundation and badoosh. An inner glow.

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette

I held off buying any of the Huda Beauty eyeshadow palettes after watching a string of negative review videos online, but this winter I finally succumbed and choose the Desert Dusk palette. I mean, what cult beauty haul would be complete without one?So far, apart from noticing more chalkiness in texture than I’m used to, I don’t have any complaints with this palette. In fact I love the gorgeous vibrancy of the shadows, and appreciate the high pigmentation. The warm-gold glittery shades are my favourite ;)

Urban Decay Born To Run Palette

Another reason to love Urban Decay *swoon*. I bought this just before buying the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk palette (above) and whilst the colours seem similar, the finishes on the UD shadows are completely different. Although these shadows aren’t as jewel-toned or strongly pigmented as the Huda Beauty palette, I love their silkiness and the ease with which they apply and blend. Pure velvet.

Bottega Veneta Knot Perfume

My favourite perfume had to make the cult beauty haul cut – Bottega Veneta’s Knot is a gorgeous, voluptuous scent that is filled with a textured orange blossom, green buds and creamy vanilla and musk. It’s glorious.

Kiehl’s Ultra Facial Cream

A real cult beauty product. Nothing works as well at hydrating my skin without over-moisturising it, forming the perfect base for makeup. Whilst I love a solid, creamy, thick moisturiser before bed, during the day I always reach for my Kiehl’s.

Mac ‘Coppertone’ Blush

Coppertone is wonderful for when I want to create a parred down look. I swipe a little of the blush on the apples of my cheeks, maybe a touch on my eyes, a little something on the lips and I’m done. It warms up my complexion without adding any pinkness, for a simple, no-fuss look.

& Other Stories ‘Kick Pleat Red’ Cheek & Lip Tint

After seeing this blush/lip duo on my little sister, I knew I needed it in my life. This cheek and lip cream melts beautifully into skin, before drying to a more powdery finish. It’s my no-time-in-the-morning saviour – just swipe some on your cheeks and lips and dash out of the door. It’s also a very pretty red-orange colour.

& Other Stories ‘Perle de Coco’ Body Scrub

There’s something about coconut-scented skincare products; sometimes they smell divine, and sometimes they are sickly. Thankfully this smoothing sugar scrub falls into the former category, and it also works wonders on the skin. Nom.

Ouai Rose Hair & Body Oil

Speaking of beautifully fragrant skincare, my cult beauty haul is in need of a body oil. I’m loving the new Ouai hair and body oil that slips easily into dry skin to both hydrate and perfume. #Winning.

Anne Semonin Oligo Protect Cream SPF30

Since starting to use exfoliating acids more regularly, I’ve become more aware of protecting my skin from the sun… not that there is much sun this time of year. Still, I reckon it’s better to be safe rather than sorry, and the Anne Semonin cream works a treat. I often find SPF creams a touch too thick for serious daytime use; but this one blends well and feels quite natural.

Anne Semonin Tissue Serum

Lastly, this tissue serum from Anne Semonin has literally transformed my skin. This is now my second bottle of the magical stuff, that has really helped to soothe my skin on rough days. It’s wonderful and it completes my cult beauty haul!

Do you have any products that you would add to a cult beauty haul? I’d love to hear your recommendations :)
