Upgrade Your Home Office With A Flexispot Desk

Home office flexispot standing desk review

Work from home? You might just need a Flexispot standing desk

I’ve been working from home for years now and, for the most part, I love it. But a good desk is one of the very few things I miss about an office. You know the sort – big and sturdy, with cable management and maybe even height adjustable. That’s where the Flexispot standing desk comes in.

Choosing the right standing desk for your home office

Flexispot do a number of different standing desks. Because I use a large monitor and a few other screens, I pick the Q8 standing desk for its bigger size.

The Flexispot Q8 standing desk comes in two sizes – the largest, and the one I pick, measures 140cm by 70cm. It can also holdup to 100kg, perfect to hold my monitor and multiple laptops.

It’s height adjustable too, and is 60cm high at the lowest position and 124cm high at the tallest position.

What’s nice is that although it’s a big table, it has some soft features, so it won’t totally dominate a space. I like the look of the sleek white legs, and the rounded bamboo table top.

Assembling the Flexispot Q8 standing desk

So I go ahead and click order, and the desk arrives a week later in two boxes. They’re surprisingly heavy, so it’s worth having an extra pair of hands to help with assembly.

Opening the boxes reveals hefty steel legs equipped with dual motors for lifting, and an enormous bamboo desktop. That’ll explain the weight.

Everything looks really well made and there are easy to follow instructions to put everything together. Flexispot also include a screwdriver in the Q8 standing desk package, so you really don’t need anything of your own for assembly.

Taking the Q8 for a spin

Once assembled you can then play around with the Q8 standing desk settings. On the right side of the desk are a couple of buttons that smoothly move the desk up and down. You can also pre-set the levels you want your desk to go to, and there’s a handy child lock key too.

What’s more, the Flexispot Q8 desk also has wireless charging, which means you can just pop your phone on the desk and boom! It’ll charge. I love how this one detail helps keeps wires to a minimum.

Speaking of which, the Q8 standing desk also has a cable management system which will help keep cables neat and mostly hidden away.

And last but not least, there’s also a handy drawer where you can pop all your bits and bobs. Ours is coming in super useful already.
