Dover Street Counter was packed at lunch, so we expected a hit. Instead we got disco fries that didn’t slap and a French dip that fought back.
Fragrant bursts of cinnamon and cardamom are used to great effect in an iced chai tea, full of festivity and aromatic warmth, with the vital tapioca balls.
Finally, we come to desserts. They all sound lovely, but the winner has to be the sticky toffee pudding, all syrupy and rich, served hot and with a lush vanilla ice cream. Mmm.
