The Cora, an addictive fragrance by Thameen
The Cora, an addictive fragrance by Thameen
Ever since I started using Cora by Thameen, it’s the only perfume I reach for when I go out
Like its sister perfumes in the Thameen collection, this one is named after a famous jewel – the Cora Sun-Drop Diamond, which is the largest, yellow, pear-shaped diamond in the world. And just like it’s inspiration, Cora is unique.
It’s full on addictive.
I use it when my husband and I go on dates, when I meet friends and family. I even spritz it for work, or for weekend chores. I’ve used Cora by Thameen so much these last few months, that I probably will need to replenish it soon.
And what makes it so addictive?
Well, to me, it feels like a second skin. Like a veil of fragrance that lifts my mood, makes me feel more confident, more expressive, confident, and cool.
For a little blue bottle, it does a lot.
So what does Cora by Thameen smell like?
It smells expensive ;) And it is.
I love that when you spritz it, it settles right into your skin, and stays with you for a while after. As the moments pass, it slowly develops into its full spectrum.
Notes
Top – Bulgarian Rose, Jasmin, Wisteria, Magnolia
Heart – Carnation, Vanilla, Lilly of the Valley
Base – Patchouli, White Musk, Amber
The first floral layer is filled with rose, jasmin, wisteria and magnolia. These notes come together to create a light, bright, feminine fragrance, complimented with heart notes of vanilla and luminous white musk.
Somehow though, even with the floral elements, Cora doesn’t feel too flowery
And it’s the base notes that stop Cora from feeling like a sweet, simplistic number.
I particularly love the amber, which makes for a warm, spicy base to this grown up bouquet.
In closing, I’ve really enjoyed using Cora. It feels like a more elegant version of a big floral perfume, and one that benefits from being set on nutmeg, amber and white musk.
It’s altogether a more complex, and more interesting fragrance than I’ve tested for a while, and I can’t wait to try more perfumes by Thameen :)
