1. Santa Monica Pier
This has to be one of the most iconic spots in Los Angeles and, when the sun sets, it’s one of the prettiest too. The ferris wheel lights up, and the sky turns milky pink and purple. Grab a bike a cycle through the pier, take a ride on the rollercoaster, and try your hand at the arcade games.

2. Santa Monica Beach
When you’re done at the pier, head down to the gorgeous Santa Monica Beach. Wide swathes of sand define this beach, and many of the beaches in town. Wander around here and wait for the surfers to come out, or for the sun to set, for that magical instagrammable money-shot.
3. Shutters on the Beach, Santa Monica
If you like the Santa Monica area, then why not spend a night at a local hotel? There are loads to choose from, but our favourite is Shutters on the Beach. They say it’s a celeb haunt; we wouldn’t know anything about that though. What we do know is that it’s got to be one of the most instagrammable spots in Los Angeles. It’s a fantastic place to spend the night :)
4. Street food market, Main Street
The night after our stay at Santa Monica, we walked along Main Street and found the most brilliant market, filled with all kinds of street food. We tried plenty, but our favourite was this crispy chicken burger – in a doughnut. Ahhh, so delicious, so tasty. Main street doesn’t always hold a street market, so be sure to check beforehand.

5. Griffith Observatory
If you’ve got a spare evening, head to the Griffiths Observatory to watch the sun set over Los Angeles. As the sky turns pink and purple, the city lights start to turn on, and soon the city is carpeted in pinpricks of light. So twinkly, so pretty. This has to be one of the most instagrammable spots in Los Angeles.
6. Cereal-milk soft serve ice cream
You know we had to swing by Milk to scoop up their delicious cereal-milk soft serve ice cream. With millennial pink walls and palm trees, this is also one of the most Instagrammable spots in Los Angeles. Om nom.
7. Venice Beach
Located right next to Santa Monica Beach, Venice Beach is known for its more eccentric aesthetic. It’s also home to the famous Muscle Beach outdoor gym, and the iconic skate park. Head here to fill up on classic Los Angeles vibes!
