Afternoon tea fit for a Royal
The birth of the Duke & Duchess of Cambridge’s second child is one of those events that people are naturally drawn to, and to celebrate The Park Lane Hotel is hosting a baby-inspired afternoon tea.
The Royal Baby Shower afternoon tea is served in the hotel’s gorgeous Art Deco lounge, a decadent room that is surely the best place to indulge in a little royal treatment. The baby theme is taken up with gusto in everthing from the napkin pins to the freshly baked star-shaped scones.
The highlight of the afternoon tea at The Park Lane Hotel is the tray of pastries, created by award-winning Pastry Chef Sarah Hartnett. They include a sticky apricot cake iced to resemble an ABC Learning Block, and a pram shaped polenta cake with pretty macaron wheels. Yum.
Sandwiches include chicken with white pain de mie and goats cheese and fig panini with hazelnut chocolate, which works surprisingly well.
Priced at £45 pp, the royal baby themed afternoon tea at The Park Lane Hotel provides a lovely way for expectant mothers to celebrate a little.
