1. Painted Ladies, Alamo Square
The award for the most Instagrammable place in San Francisco goes to the Painted Ladies. These gorgeous Victorian houses line Alamo Square and the surrounding area, and are painted in a rainbow of pretty colours.
We loved the hike up to them just as much too, so we’d highly recommend popping to see them.

2. Baker Beach, Presidio
Baker Beach has some of the best views of the Golden Gate Bridge, and it’s a pretty beach in its own right too.
Add this to your list of the most instagrammable places in San Francisco – and don’t forget to also check out more the Presidio area. Think gorgeous, beachy houses nestled in forest-filled hills that overlook the pacific ocean. Pretty.
3. Boudin, Fisherman’s Wharf
If you eat one thing in San Francisco, make it the clam chowder at Boudin Bakery. This bakery, located in Fisherman’s Wharf, is one of the largest I’ve ever seen. It also churns out the scrummiest bread bowls filled with hot, steaming, delicious clam chowder.
Boudin are known for their sourdough, so you know the bread bowls are going to be just as good as the chowder. And they’re oh-so-photogenic too. Smile for the ‘gram!
4. Mr Holmes Bakehouse, Nob Hill
Also save room to eat pastries at Mr Holmes Bakehouse.
We loved the matcha croissant, but the bakery is full of all manner of gorgeous things to eat. Including their famous cronut. Go nuts for cronuts. Om nom. This is a definite contender for the most instagrammable spot in San Francisco.

5. Chinatown
San Francisco is home to one of the world’s largest Chinatown’s, and we have to recommend a visit.
It’s truly immense, and filled with loads of intricate details to photograph.
6. Inglenook, Napa Valley
So, Napa Valley is actually a little drive north of San Francisco, but we’d bet our bottom dollar that it’s on most people’s itineraries. If, like us, you plan on visiting California’s blooming vineyards, then we’d recommend Inglenook.
If the castle doesn’t take your breath away, the rolling, vine covered landscape around it will. As such, this must be one of the most instagrammable places in San Francisco.
7. Balmy Alley, Mission District
Head to San Francisco’s Mission District for some of the most gorgeous graffiti murals.
Our favourite spot is Balmy Alley.

8. Tartine Bakery, Mission District
While you’re in Mission District, take a little stroll to Tartine Bakery for one of the silkiest and most luscious coconut cream pies in the entire world. Om nom.
It’s a tiny place, but if you hold your tart just-so, you get some pretty light on it. Natural light is the bestest, amiright?
9. Ocean Beach, Sunset District
Ocean beach is a long stretch of beach south of Baker beach.
If you’ve got a spare evening, head over and catch the loveliest, pinky-purple sunset. It’s gotta be one of the most Instagrammable places in San Francisco.
10. In n Out, Fisherman’s Wharf
Last, but not least, head to an In N Out for one of the most addictive double cheeseburgers in California. It’s immense, and truly scrumptious. We got ours from Fisherman’s Wharf, (yes, on the same day as the clam chowder bread bowls, and no, we have no shame).
If you do go here, then grab a cheeseburger, run it outside before it gets too slippery, and take a picture of it in front of the In N Out sign. Hella instagrammable.
