Autumn Beauty Edit product review blog london

New beauty discoveries for Autumn

Every year, as Autumn approaches, I always find that I need to work a bit harder for my skin and hair. This year, I’ve put together a list of the things that I’m hoping will see me through the worst of it. Therefore, here are the new products I’ll be using as part of my Autumn beauty edit.

Double Cream by Temple Spa

Temple Spa’s Double Cream is absolutely lush. It has a super rich and creamy feel, and sinks deep into my skin giving me a boost of hydration. Although it’s described as being for day and night, for me this would be my general night cream. It’s also supposed to be able to filter out UV light, so would make for a pretty good anti-ageing cream too.

Creme Placenta & Lotion P50W by Biologique Recherche

I had the most incredible facial at a Biologique Recherche clinic earlier this year, and since then I’ve had my eye on a couple of their skincare products. Lotion P50W is an exfoliating acid and is probably Biologique Recherche’s most well-known product. I’m using it in a bid to combat craggly cold-weather skin and ‘resurface’ my epidermis. Wish me luck.

I’m also excited to add Biologique Recherche’s Creme Placenta to my beauty cycle, which is supposed to aid in rebuilding weakened and damaged skin. I’ll be looking forward to baby-bum soft cheeks. Hopefully.

Rejuvafirm CBD Facial Oil by Radical Skincare

My Autumn beauty edit wouldn’t be complete without a facial oil, and this one has cannabis in it so… It came in the post and I was like hot damn, this is drugs. But no, Radical Skincare’s facial oil contains a Cannabidiol (CBD) which is a cannabis compound that is said to have significant medical benefits. We shall see. For now, I love how it sinks deep into my skin, and the slight tingling sensation it gives me. Eep. It’ll be in Spake NK stores this September if you want to give it a go too!

Liquid Spell Reinforcing Bodifying Fluid by Davines

Phew. That is a handful of a name for a hair product. Like it’s name however, Davine’s Liquid Spell is a multi-solution product for hair care. It’s master ingredient is an amino acid concentrate which is said to kelp give body to fine hair. Now I don’t actually have fine hair, but God knows it can sometimes be limp. From what I’ve seen so far having used Liquid Spell, it does help to give me a little lift in the volume department. Yay.

Oi All in One Milk by Davines

Ok, now this is a firm favourite product of mine. This will now be my third bottle of Davine’s Oi All in One Milk, which has become a lifesaver for my hair. I use it before blowdrying on my ends, and it helps to give me hair smoothness and shine, without weighing it down. My hero!

Dede Hair Mist by Davines

Davines. By now you can probably tell it’s one of my hair care favourites, and so my Autumn beauty edit needed at least 3 Davines products in it. Woo. Davines Dede Hair Mist is a leave in formula that helps to detangle and create a protective layer between your hair and the elements. With some sparkly citrus notes it also smells incredible!

Let It Go By Davines

Ok, ok, last one… I’ve just discovered Davines’ new range of hair masks, which are lush. I’m especially loving the Let It Go mask with its sweet orange essential oils and for the way it makes my hair shine :)

Sugar Buff by Temple Spa

I don’t use body scrubs nearly as much as I should, and I’m excited to dig in to Temple Spa’s Sugar Buff which includes grape seed oil, fig, pomegranate, vitamin E and a cacophony of essential oils including lavender, patchouli, clove, grapefruit, eucalyptus and rosemary.

Le Wild by Chantecaille

In terms of fragrances, I’m gravitating towards the juicy ever-green notes of Chantecaille’s Le Wild. Described as being ‘vibrant as wild Brazilian gardenias’, this perfume is a garden in a bottle. Lush.

Silk pillowcases and eye mask by Soak & Sleep

During summer there’s nothing I like better than crisp cotton sheets. When the weather cools however, I love playing with silk, and am therefore loving Soak & Sleep’s pillowcase and eye mask pair. Soak & Sleep use the loveliest Mulberry silk, which is also said to be incredible for your skin and hair. The smoothness helps to keep your skin soft, and hair break-free. Ah, heaven.

So those are the products that I’ll be using in my Autumn Beauty Edit!
