The Winter Glow Christmas Gift Guide

Christmas gift guide for her 2018 skincare beauty

A treasure trove of Christmas Gifts

I don’t know about you but, most years, I find myself totally unprepared for the festive season. In the past I can remember desperately scouring the bare grocery shelves for yorkshire puddings; the day before Christmas. That year I was resigned to making them myself and, of course, they were horrendous. It follows that I can be just as unprepared when it comes to gifts. But this year is different; this year I’m so prepared that I can recommend you some of my favourite gifts for Christmas!

And, because I’m obsessed with glowy skin at the moment, my Christmas Gift Guide revolves mostly around beauty and skincare. Whilst it’s true that I haven’t always had the best relationship with my skin, over the years I’ve found some great products that seem to understand me.

Without further ado then, here are the gifts that I am loving for Christmas…

Sunday Rileys Vault Kit

First up is Sunday Riley, a cult skincare brand with an incredible ‘vault’ of goodies for Christmas this year. I am super excited to introduce you to their lush, product-packed Vault Kit!

Housed in a satisfyingly chunky and solid box are 9 stellar items from the Sunday Riley range, including the brands iconic Good Genes Glycolic Acid Treatment. Mine is running out, so I’m glad to get a top up and keep my skin smooth and glowy.

What’s in the Vault Kit?

What’s not in the Vault Kit?! It’s jam-packed with all the best items from Sunday Riley. There are a trio of facial oils, from which I especially like the Luna Sleeping Night Oil most, and it pairs really well with the Good Genes acid exfoliator. Soothing and skin-resurfacing at the same time? Check.

Then we have the Juno Hydroactive Cellular Face Oil, which is composed of cold-pressed blackberry, blueberry, cranberry, raspberry, wild carrot, black cumin and grape seed oils, promising to rehydrate with its blend of essential amino acids. I’m going to drip it on and hope for the best.

I’m also excited to get into the U.F.O Acne Treatment Face Oil, which is billed as being able to manage and prevent acne and blackheads. Maybe this will work for me? Lets see. It certainly sounds good, with its spot-busting composition of 1.5% Salicylic acid enriched tea tree and cumin seed oil.

Other treats include the C.E.O. Rapid Flash Brightening Serum, which uses Vitamin C to kick start that brightening up process. The C.E.O. antiOXIDANT Protect + Repair Moisturiser goes hand in hand with the serum, and I adore its just-peeled orange scent. Whilst these are great for night time moistursing, for the day I love using the delightfully blue-coloured Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream which, as the name suggests, is water based and therefore incredibly light.

Next up we have the Autocorrect Brightening and Depuffing Eye Contour Cream, which is meant to help depuff and brighten up the under-eye area. It’s filled with cacao and shea butter, which more than anything else will help to soothe the delicate under-eye skin.

Lastly, the Sunday Riley Vault Kit contains the Ceramic Slip Cleanser, which promises to reduce pore size and hydrate. We shall see. Two things are for sure though; Good Genes is now not my only favourite thing from Sunday Riley, and what an epic Christmas gift set!

Wildsmith Skin Power Mask and silky Cleansing Balm

Moving on, we come to the luxe skincare range from the niche Wildsmith Skin. How beautiful would this be as a Christmas gift…

Having just started using these items from Wildsmith Skin, I can’t speak 100% for them, but so far I’m especially loving the Nourishing Power Mask which is pumped full of all-natural ingredients in a creamy, clay formula. Moreover, its a product that also pairs really well with Sunday Riley’s clay-based Ceramic Slip cleanser, if you wanted to mix and match Christmas gifts.

The other newfound love-of-my-life has to be Wildsmith Skin’s Nourishing Cleansing Balm, whose texture is super silky and gel-like. I especially love how it melts makeup off my face with its Rosehip and Meadowfoam seed oils, and I can see this making my bedtime routine so much faster. Ahh.

ESPA Sleep Experience

Talking of bedtime routines, this leads me to ESPA’s newly released Sleep Experience kit, featuring travel-sized versions of their Soothing Bath and Body Oils, Tri-Active Advanced Night Booster and Overnight Hydrating Therapy.

Admittedly, I have my favourite brands, some of which I write about over and over again, and ESPA is definitely one of them.

Over the years I’ve become a firm fan of their body oils, whose rich fragrance I find incredibly calming. The oils in this particular set are full of sandalwood, rose geranium and frankincense, which give a gorgeous smoky-warm-woody scent.

They’re also small enough to be able to take on a flight to give yourself a little on-board TLC – a Christmas gift for a traveller then :)

Charlotte Tilbury Palette of Pops & Hollywood Lips

As many of you know I’ve only just started on my adventures exploring the Charlotte Tilbury brand. So far however, each item I’ve tried has been lovely, and for that reason I can’t help but to recommend Charlotte Tilbury as a great brand for Christmas gifting.

For the festive season the one item that has particularly caught my eye is the Mini Hollywood Liquid Lipstick Charms, which would make for lovely stocking fillers or usable tree ornaments. The set comprises two miniature sized liquid lipsticks in Show Girl and Too Bad I’m Bad. Perfect for Christmas and the New Year ;)

I’ve also had tons of fun swatching Charlotte Tilbury’s Palette of Pops, which include four shimmery eyeshadows. I’ve just recently bought the new Urban Decay palette, and I can see these complimenting that really well, to create a shimmery, glowy makeup look.

So there you have it, my favourite Christmas Gifts to give this year! Do you have any favourite brands that you would recommend for a Christmas gift?
