3 New Beauty Discoveries
3 New Beauty Discoveries
Charlotte Tilbury, Diptyque & Nuxe
You lot know me. I flit between beauty bits and bobs like there’s no tomorrow, loving a pot of this one week and a tube of that the other. What I’m not so great at is taking pictures of them all and showing you. So I thought I’d break up my latest beauty haul to make it a little easier to write about. Up first then, are my latest makeup and skincare thingies from Charlotte Tilbury, Diptyque and Nuxe.
Cheek to Chic blush by Charlotte Tilbury
To start with, let me show you my new blush from Charlotte Tilbury. I’ve actually been looking for a peachy blush for a while. Erm, I mean there are zillions out there, but I just haven’t been bothered to actually get one. That is until now of course, when I pop the lid on Charlotte Tilbury’s Cheek to Chic blush in the shade Ecstasy.
This marks my first ever Charlotte Tilbury product, and I thought I’d take the plunge and go for a bright, peachy blush. The usage tips say that you should first apply the outer shade, then dot a little of the inner shade on your apples. I might try that, but for now I’m loving sweeping the entire thing across my upper cheeks. In terms of texture, the blush applies smoothly and is very build-able.

Huile Prodigieuse by Nuxe
Body oils are an essential part of my skincare routine. Sometimes they’re the only product that really gets my skin into shape. I’ve played around with various body oils in the past, from ESPA to Leonor Greyl, and now my eye has wondered to Huile Prodigieuse by Nuxe.
Described as ‘the holy grail of body oils’ this is one of those skincare products that seem to have ballooned in popularity over recent years. Although it’s been around for a few decades, its only recently reached cult status. Don’t take my word for it – look at any beauty bloggers product shelfie and I guarantee you there’ll be a bottle of Nuxe.
Being that it’s a dry oil, applying it should leave you with a very pretty (and manageable) glow, rather than anything too heavy or openly oily. It’s also full of the (apparently) anti-ageing Tsubaki oil, almond oil, camellia oil, and borage oil

Do Son perfume by Diptyque
Regular readers will know my obsession with dusky, Oudy fragrances – but more recently I’ve been playing with my florals and gardenias.
Diptyque’s Do Son is one such fragrance that I’ve recently started using and loving. Whilst Do Son is most certainly a floral scent, it could in no way be described as light. In fact, Do Son has a gorgeously curvaceous tuberose heart, which is complimented with greener, less ripe accords too, and a little shimmer of orange blossom and iris.
There’s a soft powdery note too which I think makes this fragrance much more wearable. It’s lovely :)
