Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk – Why We Love The New Line
Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk – Why We Love The New Line
From new lipsticks to a fully-loaded eyeshadow palette, here’s what we think of the new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk line
Pillow Talk, the most iconic lipstick from Charlotte Tilbury, now has its very own collection! Never been more excited. The newly expanded line is filled with incredible dusky pinks, cashmeres and chocolatey brown shades.
So what is Pillow Talk? The original lipstick is so popular that apparently one tube sells every 2 minutes. It’s meant to be the perfect pinky-mauve colour, that looks like your lips but on a really good day.
But nudes are never a one-size-fits-all.
In recognition of this, Charlotte Tilbury’s Pillow Talk line has now expanded to include 10 brand new products, set to be released this January and February. The brand spanking new collection has deeper, rosier shades that compliment the original lineup, and will suit way more skin tones.
Can’t say fairer than that.

The original Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk
Charlotte Tilbury’s iconic Pillow Talk line started with a Lip Cheat in the original shade. It’s an intimate, innocent-pink colour, and is just about rosy enough for me to pull off.
I love how easily the Lip Cheat applies, and the suede-like quality gives my lips a lot more volume and dimension.
Once it’s on, I swipe on a little of the Pillow Talk Matte Revolution lipstick. It makes my lips look softer and slightly fuller, and is a very wearable formula.
Pillow Talk Medium – a warmer new lipstick
This gorgeous, tawny shade is the first new addition to the Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk line. It’s both warmer and deeper than the original, whilst also complimenting the spirit of Pillow Talk.
I think a lot of people may find Pillow Talk Medium easier to wear than the original Pillow Talk, which can sometimes pull a little too light on certain skin tones.
The Matte Revolution formula also has a great, wearable texture.
Pillow Talk Intense – the deepest new lipstick shade
Pillow Talk Intense is a fantastically deep, warm brown, made in the semi-glossy K.I.S.S.I.N.G. collection formula.
I’ve swatched it over the Pillow Talk Intense Lip Cheat, which makes the colour even bolder. If you want a slightly softer colour, then just swipe the lippy on without the lipliner.
I like the shade on me, but it probably look the best on warmer skin tones.
Superstar Lips in Pillow Talk
This shiny number feels like a mix between a lipgloss and a lipstick, and offers a pretty rose-berry hue in an easy-to-wear formula.
I can see myself using Pillow Talk’s Superstar Lips a lot. I’ve swatched it here without a lipliner, and love just-been-kissed burst of colour.
Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk
I never thought the day would come, but I’ve fallen back in love with the idea of a lipgloss. I feel 18 again ;)
Seriously though, Charlotte Tilbury’s stunning new Collagen Lip Bath in Pillow Talk is stunning.
It’s filled with marine collagen and refreshing peppermint that helps to create a plumper pout, and feels cool and tingly at the same time.
It’s also got the prettiest pearlescent colour, but I’ve swatched it here on top of Pillow Talk Lip Cheat for a touch more colour.
Lip Lustre in Pillow Talk
This is another gloss from the new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk line. It’s got more of a solid colour than the Collagen Lip Bath, and feels a touch thicker too.
If I had to pick between the two, then my personal favourite would be the Collagen Lip Bath. But then I’m all about that lip tingle :)
Pillow Talk Eyeliner
Friends know that when it comes to eyeliners, I’m a cat-eye-in-black-liquid-liner kinda gal.
But I’m happily surprised by how much I enjoy wearing the brick-meets-berry Pillow Talk eyeliner.
Maybe it’s because I’m wearing a face full of Charlotte Tilbury, and all my makeup is super complimentary for once ;)
And the best part? It has great staying power, and barely transfers to my hooded eyes. Tick and tick!
Cheek-to-Chic blush in Pillow Talk and Pillow Talk Intense
Speaking of complimentary makeup, the new Cheek-to-Chic blush in Pillow Talk Intense goes really well with the deeper new Pillow Talk lipsticks. And it just takes a gentle swipe to build the colour up.
I’m loving the original Pillow Talk blush too – it’s a pink and gold pot of pretty.
Instant Eye Palette in Pillow Talk
How pretty is this! The Instant Eye Palette the real superstar of the new Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk collection. It’s filled with 12 colours, ranging from a light whipped-cream colour all the way through to bright glittery fuchsia.
The eyeshadows are split into 4 different groups – Day, Desk, Date and Dream. But, if you’re anything like me, you’ll be mixing the colours willy nilly.
In terms of texture there’s a mix of velvety matte shades, along with high-glitter shades. They all seem really nicely pigmented, and swatch pretty well. I can’t wait to create tonnes of new eye looks!
Pillow Talk Luxury Palette & Palette of Pops
Yay more eyeshadows! The new Pillow Talk collection also includes two Luxury Palettes, each filled with 4 dusky pink eye shadows.
From a texture point of view, these eyeshadows seem more sheer than the ones in the Instant Eye Palette. They look like they’d be buildable though, with the right eye primer.
Overall I like them but, if I had to choose, I prefer the Instant Eye Palette.
Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk & Pillow Talk Medium
Last but not least are the two Beauty Light Wands, filled with liquid-gold highlighter goodness.
The Beauty Light Wand in Pillow Talk is a vintage oyster colour, while Pillow Talk Medium is a warmer bronze shade. I enjoy both :)
Also, I didn’t think I’d like the sponge applicator, but it blots the liquid product on quite nicely. I then use my fingertips to work the highlighter in a little more, and give myself a little glow.
Phew. Over 1000 words later and we come to the end of my ultimate Charlotte Tilbury Pillow Talk review! Thanks for reading it all, and let me know what you think of the new and original Pillow Talk products.
