The hotel has been open for just a year or so, and it’s roots are firmly based in Paris. With its 18 super chic rooms, the Henrietta is an uncompromisingly boutique hotel, and fits in to Covent Garden beautifully.

Our favourite bit of Brunch at Henrietta Hotel…

My personal favourite part of the brunch at Henrietta Hotel today has to be the freshly made madeleines.

They arrive pleasingly hot, plucked straight out of the oven, and are served with crisp, clean chantilly cream.

We take an especial pleasure in feeling their warmth and soft texture, and of scooping them into our mouths with generous dabs of the cream.

After all, its always the simple things that are the best.

The eggs menu for brunch at Henrietta Hotel

We also try out the eggs menu as part of our Sunday brunch at Henrietta Hotel, choosing ours to be scrambled and served with garlic mushrooms and hash browns.

The mushrooms are tender and moreish, and the eggs are solidly enough done, although I do miss their fluffier Parisian counterparts.

Next up, we have the charred salmon with poached egg & crushed avocado. Like all well-executed simple dishes, its a pleasure to eat for brunch.

Shakshuka comes next, filling a cast iron pot with its fragrant, tomatoey, eggy form. Coupled with the Merguez sausages that sit on top of it, this shakshuka is again another hugely satisfying dish.

All in all, the Sunday brunch at Henrietta Hotel has been lovely. We’ve enjoyed the simplicity of the place itself and also of the menu.

If you’re looking for a no-fuss place to eat in Covent Garden, then brunch at Henrietta Hotel is a good option.
